Schoolgirls experience and appraisal of menstrual absorbents on rural Uganda: a cross-sexrional evaluation of reusable sanitary pads

Positive Ratings for Reusable Pads: Girls using the reusable pads provided in the intervention study rated them positively. They found the reusable pads easy to change and not disgusting to clean. Additionally, they perceived the reusable pads as more reliable in preventing soiling during various activities.

No Significant Differences in Actual Soiling and Odour: Despite the more positive perceptions of the reusable pads, there were no significant differences in reports of soiling outer garments or experiencing odour during the last menstrual period between girls using reusable pads and those using other existing methods.
