Public Relations and Communications Intern

As a Communications Intern you will work closely with the Communications Manager to support communicating the company’s efforts of providing hope and empowerment. You will help write email campaigns and newsletters as well as support PR outreach. You will also create content for social media accounts and assist with website SEO and blog maintenance while helping build our brand’s overall communications strategy.

Position Overview and Responsibilities

  • Support the Communications Manager in developing and executing email campaigns and newsletters
  • Help create content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Assist with website SEO research and blog maintenance
  • Support the Communications Manager in structuring best practices for customer service and internal communications
  • Attend one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and collaborate with other team members on various marketing projects

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Active enrollment in a university or college program with a focus on Communications, Marketing, or equal experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Some experience with social media platforms and content creation
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and best blogging practices
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Passion for social impact and creating positive change in the world

 

About the Internship Program

Business Connect’s Headquarter Team includes interns who work in tandem with our staff to maximize the availability of products, providing communities in the developing world with greater access to essential resources while building sound business opportunities that will create more jobs and economic stability.

Through this internship, you will gain real-world experience working with our partners around the world. These are fully remote positions that will allow you to develop your skills and learn from the global team. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule as well as contribute to projects that you are most passionate about.

Please note: Internship requires 5-15 hours per week. College credit may be available for this role.
