Data Gaps and Resource Constraints: While data availability is improving, there are still significant gaps, particularly in monitoring the treatment of wastewater and faecal sludge. Many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa lack the necessary human and financial resources to implement effective sanitation policies, especially in vulnerable settings.
