Abstract
The Republic of Kenya in East Africa has made political and economic reforms over the past decade, resulting in economic growth and political stability, but access to piped water remains low and is limited due to the country’s water scarcity, uneven water availability, and frequent droughts and flooding; the Kenyan government and development partners have increased spending on water and have estimated a need for $14 billion in investment in the water supply over the next 15 years to meet the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal for water.
