Gloria Magut

Research Assistant at The Aquaya Institute
Nairobi,
Kenya

Gloria works as a Research Assistant at Aquaya Institute for the USAID Rural Evidence and Learning for Water (REAL-Water) Water Quality Assurance Fund Program in Kenya. This program aims to strengthen rural water safety management in Kenya. In 2023, during her fellowship opportunity with the Ban Ki Moon Centre for Global Citizens, Gloria educated school aged children on methods of household water treatment, different sources of safe drinking water, and water sampling for laboratory analysis. She is inspired to be an agent of change in her sphere of influence by using education to empower the socially excluded such as youths (school aged children), women, the rural population, PLWDs (People Living with Disability). Through empowerment, their voices can be heard.
