Today’s water crisis is not an issue of scarcity, but of access. More
people in the world own cell phones than have access to a toilet.
And as cities and slums grow at increasing rates, the situation worsens.
Every day, lack of access to clean water and sanitation kills thousands,
leaving others with reduced quality of life.
Your engagement, encouragement, and energy can make a difference
in a family, a child, or a country. Thank you for being a part of
connecting resources and needs, people and programs.
We are really fired up for the opportunities God is providing us in 2011.
Pray for us. Best, Jan and Lou
Email from Haiti:
“Hi Lou and Jan! Oh my! Your water filters were a hit in Jeremie!
Mrs. Eddy now has two at her orphanage in Roseaux which feeds
45 children a day. The children can now be treated for parasites and
no more diarrhea! Our interpreter took one to his countryside village
so they can have clean water. What a blessing”.
Above is an email we received this morning. It is impossible
to improve on the urgency and need and excitement of changing lives.
Lou & Jan
